Syria foils smuggling of 310,000 Captagon pills
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Interior Ministry said on Sunday it had foiled an attempt to smuggle 310,000 Captagon pills from Lebanon through Syrian territory toward neighboring countries.
In a statement, the ministry said investigations led to the seizure of the entire shipment and the arrest of the trader identified as J.M., who allegedly managed the network.
The ministry said the suspect and the seized drugs were referred to the competent judiciary for further investigation, identification of other people involved in or linked to the network, and the necessary legal measures.
