Israeli forces conduct incursions, detain residents in Syria’s Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces carried out incursions in several areas of central and southern Quneitra countryside on Friday, searching homes and detaining three local residents.

In the central countryside, an Israeli military force entered al-Hamidiyah village and searched several homes. The operation resulted in the detention of one resident, who was taken away by soldiers before the force withdrew. His whereabouts remained unknown.

Separately, several Israeli military vehicles carrying infantry entered al-Rafid town in southern Quneitra countryside and raided a house, detaining two people and taking them toward the Golan Heights.

Residents also reported that Israeli forces fired heavy machine guns toward al-Jazira military barracks in the Maariya area and its surroundings. No casualties were reported.
