Grenade blast kills father, child in Syria’s Hasakah

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A man and his child lost their lives on Friday after a grenade exploded near the courthouse in central Hasakah city, with the circumstances and cause unclear.

A source at Hasakah National Hospital told North Press that the man and his child arrived at the hospital dead, adding that no other casualties were recorded following the blast.

The Internal Security Forces in Hasakah governorate launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause and circumstances of the explosion.

No official information had been released by the time of publication clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
