Israeli forces arrest man during incursion into Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Wednesday arrested a man during an incursion into the western neighborhood of Maariyah village in the Yarmouk Basin in Daraa western countryside, southern Syria.

Local sources told North Press that the Israeli forces raided and searched several residents’ homes amid a heavy deployment of troops throughout the neighborhood.

The raids were accompanied by heavy gunfire around the village, but no injuries were reported, according to the sources.

The forces withdrew from the area about two hours after the incursion, the sources added. 

Meanwhile, road construction work opposite Maariyah village, on the western side of the al-Raqqad Valley, was still underway as of Wednesday, according to the same sources.
