Israeli forces launch new incursion into Syria’s Quneitra after artillery strike
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Sunday shelled the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, while carrying out a new ground incursion near the village of Sida al-Golan.
Local sources told North Press that Israeli artillery fired three shells at an area west of Ain al-Qadi village in southern Quneitra countryside. No casualties or material damage have been reported so far.
The sources added that an Israeli military patrol advanced into the outskirts of Sida al-Golan village, where troops established a temporary checkpoint and carried out thorough inspections of civilians and passing vehicles.
The operation concluded without any reported arrests, the sources said.
The latest incursion comes amid a series of repeated Israeli military operations in southern Syria, including ground incursions, temporary checkpoints, and artillery strikes in Quneitra.
