Israeli forces conduct two incursions in Syria’s Quneitra

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Wednesday carried out two separate incursions in southern and central Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, conducting house searches and establishing a temporary military checkpoint before withdrawing from the area.

Local sources told North Press that an Israeli patrol entered the Ain al-Qadi farm area in southern Quneitra countryside, where troops searched six homes amid a limited military deployment.

According to the sources, the patrol remained in the area for a short period before withdrawing. No arrests were reported, and no clashes occurred with local residents.

In a separate incident, another Israeli patrol set up a temporary checkpoint in the village of Samdaniyah al-Sharqiya in central Quneitra countryside. Soldiers reportedly stopped vehicles and pedestrians, inspected identification documents, and carried out searches of passing traffic.

The checkpoint remained in place for more than an hour before the patrol left the area, the sources said.

Residents expressed concern over the increasing frequency of Israeli military operations in the region, warning that repeated incursions, searches, and checkpoint inspections are disrupting daily life.
