ISIS claims killing of Syrian army member in Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) on Wednesday claimed responsibility for targeting a member of the Syrian army in a town in the northern countryside of Aleppo, marking the group’s third claimed operation in April. 

In a statement published by its Amaq News Agency, the group said its militants used machine guns to target a Syrian army member in the town of al-Rai in the north of Aleppo.

According to the statement, the soldier was killed on the spot, and the assailants withdrew safely to their positions.

Since the beginning of April, ISIS has claimed three operations against Syrian army members in different areas across Syria.
