QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Residents of the city of Andan in northern Aleppo countryside staged a protest on Tuesday, calling for improved living conditions, better public services, and the reconstruction of homes damaged during the Syrian conflict.
Local sources from the city told North Press that demonstrators raised banners demanding enhancements to the deteriorating living and service conditions affecting residents.
According to the sources, protesters emphasized the need for their area to be included in support and reconstruction programs, stressing the importance of fairness in the distribution of services across all regions without discrimination.
The demonstrators also highlighted the extensive destruction of infrastructure and residential buildings in the city, noting that urgent intervention is required to rehabilitate the area and secure basic living necessities for its population.
The city of Andan, like many areas in northern Aleppo, witnessed significant damage during years of conflict, leaving residents reliant on limited services and in need of reconstruction efforts.
