Government health delegation, UNICEF visit Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A Syrian government health delegation and representatives of UNICEF visited on Monday the city of Kobani in northern Syria and met with Kurdish officials to discuss the humanitarian and health situation and ways to enhance medical cooperation.
The delegation included the Director of Health in Aleppo and an official responsible for healthcare at the Ministry of Health in Damascus.
During the meeting, both sides discussed vaccination files and mechanisms to deliver vaccines to children amid ongoing health challenges in the area.
Members of the visiting delegation expressed readiness to provide the necessary support to strengthen immunization programs and improve health services, contributing to better medical care and the protection of the most vulnerable groups, particularly children.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and joint cooperation in the coming phase to support residents and address existing challenges, with the aim of improving the health situation in Kobani.
