QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Local sources reported on Saturday that an Israeli military force carried out an incursion into the central countryside of Quneitra, where it established a temporary military point and detained a child.
According to the sources, Israeli troops advanced into the village of al-Ruwayhina in Quneitra countryside and detained a child while he was grazing sheep on the outskirts of the village.
The sources added that the Israeli force consisted of more than 20 soldiers, who set up a temporary military position during the operation.
The troops reportedly stopped passing vehicles, conducted searches, and checked personal identification documents of civilians in the area.
Residents said that areas in the Quneitra countryside witness intermittent tensions and Israeli military movements, which contribute to growing concern among locals, particularly amid repeated incidents of incursions and detentions of civilians.
