Israeli incursion reported in Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces advanced on Thursday into al-Salam town in the countryside of Quneitra, in a new military incursion involving several armored vehicles, according to local sources.

Sources told North Press that four Israeli military vehicles entered the town and reached the vicinity of the cultural center before later withdrawing toward their base in the village of al-Hamidiyah.

The sources added that the reasons behind the incursion remain unclear, with no official statement issued regarding the movement.

Residents of al-Salam town reported a state of tension and anticipation during the deployment, amid concerns over repeated military movements in the area.

Such incursions have been periodically reported in the Quneitra countryside, a region bordering the occupied Golan Heights, where Israeli forces maintain a presence along the frontier.
