Israeli forces advance into Quneitra countryside

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli military forces advanced on Monday into a village in the countryside of Quneitra governorate in southern Syria, local sources told North Press.

According to the sources, a convoy of five Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Jbata al-Khashab in the Quneitra countryside.

The sources added that the Israeli patrol later set up a checkpoint on the road linking the towns of Jbata al-Khashab and al-Hurriya. Soldiers reportedly stopped passersby and conducted searches, though no arrests were reported.

On Sunday, Israeli forces detained two children in the Quneitra countryside while they were herding sheep near the Tal al-Ahmar area.

The same day, five Israeli armored vehicles advanced into the Wadi al-Ruqad area before heading toward the outskirts of the village of Jumla and continuing their deployment near the Siriyat al-Wadi area in the western countryside of Daraa, according to local sources.

Israeli forces have carried out repeated movements and patrols in parts of southern Syria along the border areas in Quneitra and Daraa provinces.
