Syrian Petroleum Company conducts inspection tour of oil fields in NE Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC) announced on Monday that it is conducting an inspection tour of the Rmelan and Sweidiya oil fields, east of the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria.
Safwan Sheikh Ahmad, head of the Public Relations Department at the Syrian Petroleum Company, said that the visit comes in implementation of the agreement reached with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
“Today, we will carry out an exploratory tour of the Rmelan and Sweidiya oil fields,” Sheikh Ahmad stated, adding that the tour will include technical and engineering teams from the Syrian Petroleum Company.
He explained that the purpose of the visit is to assess the technical situation and evaluate the readiness of the two fields, in preparation for subsequent steps.
