Government shelling on Kobani countryside kills 5 civilians
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Local sources reported on Monday that five people were killed and others injured in the countryside of Kobani, northern Syria, following government shelling on the village of Kharab Ashk.
The sources said that Fatima Othman, Jamila Ahmad Othman, Sulav Rasho Bozan Kadro, the child Jaafar Mohammed Sheikh Bozan, and another young girl lost their lives in the shelling.
In this context, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated that “Damascus-affiliated factions commit a massacre in the countryside of Kobani, killing five civilians.”
The SDF added that “The attack resulted in the martyrdom of five civilians and the injury of five others, all members of the Bozan family.”
The Damascus-affiliated factions launched intense shelling that targeted the village using artillery, tanks, and unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the SDF.
