Asayish thwart escape attempt by 34 people from Hawl Camp in NE Syria
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) thwarted an escape attempt involving 34 people from the Hawl Camp in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, a security source said on Saturday.
The source told North Press that the attempt occurred late on Friday night, and that the Asayish forces arrested the entire group of 34 individuals as soon as they left the camp’s perimeter.
The source did not specify the nationality of the individuals who attempted to escape, nor did it mention if they received any external assistance.
