Israeli troops cross into Quneitra countryside, Stop civilian vehicles

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press)

Israeli forces carried out on Saturday evening an incursion into the Quneitra countryside, establishing a temporary checkpoint where civilian vehicles were stopped and inspected.

A local source told North Press that “four Israeli military vehicles entered from the occupied territories toward the village of al-Ajraf in central Quneitra countryside, and stationed themselves at the eastern entrance of the village, where they set up a temporary checkpoint.”

According to the source, approximately 20 soldiers manned the checkpoint, stopping several vehicles and checking the identities of passengers. No arrests were reported during the operation.

Earlier the same day, Israeli forces advanced into Tel Ahmar in western Quneitra countryside, where they raised the Israeli flag before withdrawing toward Tel Ahmar Sharqi.
