Israeli artillery targets site in Quneitra countryside, no casualties reported
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces fired three artillery shells on Wednesday evening targeting the eastern Tal al-Ahmar area in the countryside of Quneitra, southwestern Syria, according to local sources. The shells were launched from positions within the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
A local resident told North Press that the shelling struck the vicinity of the hill near the town of Kudna in the central Quneitra countryside. No casualties were reported, but the incident caused widespread panic among residents of nearby villages.
“The explosions were loud and close. People were afraid the shells might hit homes,” the source said, requesting anonymity for security reasons.
The Israeli military has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
