NES negotiators prepared, await next talks with Syrian government

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Yasser al-Suleiman, spokesperson for the Autonomous Administration’s negotiation delegation with Damascus, told North Press on Friday that their technical committees are fully prepared to resume discussions with their counterparts in the Syrian government.

Al-Suleiman said the committees are ready to continue negotiations and address all files currently under discussion. The co-chair of the Autonomous Administration’s Department of Foreign Relations, Ilham Ahmed, met on Thursday with the negotiation delegation representing northeast Syria to review developments from recent meetings in Damascus.

“We are committed to resuming the negotiation process with the Syrian government and are preparing through the formation of technical committees to begin talks on ways to integrate administrative and military institutions,” al-Suleiman added.

He emphasized that the delegation is awaiting official dates to hold direct meetings with government representatives. The AANES delegation highlighted that technical preparations are complete and that all relevant committees are ready to engage in discussions once a schedule is confirmed.

This development comes as part of ongoing efforts to stabilize northeast Syria through dialogue and institutional coordination with Damascus, in line with the Autonomous Administration’s commitment to peaceful negotiation channels.
