Syrian FM meets Jordanian counterpart in Cairo
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani held on Thursday talks with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in Cairo, on the sidelines of the 164th ministerial session of the Arab League Council.
Al-Shibani attended the session as part of Syria’s participation in the Arab League meetings hosted by Cairo.
In April, he joined Arab foreign ministers for the first time at the 163rd ministerial session of the Arab League Council.
The Arab League, founded in 1945, is a regional organization of 22 member states. It has served as a political and diplomatic forum for Arab countries, addressing issues ranging from security to economic cooperation.
