Erdogan says Turkey will stand by Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Turkey will not abandon Syria.
“We will continue to stand by them,” Erdogan stressed. “God willing, no one will be able to prevent Syria from rising again.”
Speaking to reporters on his flight back from China, Erdogan warned, “Whoever tries to undermine this process will pay the price.”
He emphasized that “Wherever they live, Kurds are our brothers and sisters. No one can drive us apart,” according to Anadolu Agency.
Erdogan added that Turkey will not tolerate attempts to sow chaos in Syrian territory, noting that the Syrian transitional government in Damascus will not allow it either.
“Neither Türkiye nor Damascus would tolerate those who seek to stir up turmoil on Syrian soil.”
