DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Jordan and Kuwait on Tuesday strongly condemned Israel’s recent large-scale military incursion into Syrian territory over the past two days.
On Monday, Israeli forces carried out multiple incursions in the countryside of Quneitra and Damascus, accompanied by sweeping search operations.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed “Kuwait’s condemnation and rejection of Israel’s ongoing violations and incursions into Syrian lands,” calling them a blatant breach of Syria’s sovereignty, unity, international law, the UN Charter, and relevant international resolutions.
Similarly, Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Sufyan al-Qudah denounced Israel’s actions, saying: “We strongly condemn the continued Israeli violations and its incursion yesterday into Syrian territory, including the shelling of a Syrian citizen’s home that led to his death.”
Al-Qudah further criticized Israel’s announcement of its continued illegal military presence on Mount Hermon and in the buffer zone, describing it as “a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation targeting Syria’s stability, sovereignty, and security.”
Both countries called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by pressuring Israel to halt its violations and escalating actions in Syria. They urged compliance with international law, humanitarian law, and UN resolutions to safeguard regional stability.
