Asayish arrest 4 ISIS members in Raqqa security operation

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Tuesday the arrest of four Islamic State (ISIS) members during a security operation in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria.

In a statement, the Asayish said that their special forces carried out a targeted security operation that resulted in the arrest of four ISIS operatives.

The announcement follows a similar statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Sunday, in which they confirmed the arrest of an ISIS cell of four members in Raqqa.

The statement noted that the arrested individuals were involved in acts of sabotage aimed at undermining security and stability in the region.

It added that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to track down ISIS cells, prevent their attempts to regroup, and safeguard the security and stability of northeastern Syria.
