Coalition forces meet with SDF commanders in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A military delegation from the U.S.-led Global Coalition met on Wednesday with senior commanders of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source close to the SDF, said that a Coalition patrol departed from the al-Omar oil field base and toured several villages and towns, including Darnaj, Garanij, and Hajin.
The source added that Coalition personnel held a meeting with SDF commanders at a military facility in Hajin.
The discussions focused on enhancing coordination between the two sides, particularly as the Coalition members had recently arrived in eastern Syria.
The source indicated that the Coalition forces expressed their commitment to familiarizing themselves with the region and reaffirmed their ongoing efforts in combating the Islamic State (ISIS).
