SDF announces launching operations against SNA factions in north Syria
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Sunday a series of military operations targeting Turkish-backed armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), in northern Syria, specifically in the areas of Qarakozak Bridge, Manbij, and Tal Tamr.
In a statement, the SDF said its forces carried out three operations, including an attack on a Turkish military base in the Qaraqozaq Hill in Kobani countryside, resulting in the killing of four SNA militants and the destruction of a military vehicle.
Also, the SDF targeted positions of the SNA factions near the Tishrin Dam, causing multiple casualties.
In Tel Tamr town, north of Hasakah, the SDF launched an attack on a Turkish army base near the village of Tel al-Laban in the Tel Tamr countryside.
This attack reportedly killed one Turkish soldier, injured two others, and destroyed both a radar and surveillance system, significantly damaging the base.
According to the statement, Turkish warplanes bombed a house in the village of Ashma, west of Kobani, injuring 12 civilians, most of them children.
Turkish forces also shelled villages south of Kobani and areas in the northern countryside of Tishrin Dam.
The SDF reported that two of its fighters were killed and four others wounded in these attacks.
Furthermore, a Turkish drone strike targeted a civilian gathering near the Tishrin Dam, injuring two people, according to the SDF statement.
