Gunmen kill, injure 3 government members in Syria’s Latakia
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Gunmen loyal to the former regime killed on Saturday a member of the Military Operations Command and injured two others in an ambush in Latakia, western Syria.
The gunmen carried out the ambush on the M4 Highway, near the village of al-Mukhtariya, and targeted three members of the Command, Syria’s state-run news agency SANA stated.
Following the fall of the Assad regime, the Military Operations Command in Syria launched several military campaigns in the countryside of Latakia, with the aim of capturing former regime elements.
