Turkish drone strikes hit Syria’s Hasakah amid escalating attacks
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish drone strikes targeted on Sunday several locations in Hasakah Governorate in northeastern Syria amid a surge in Turkish military activity in the region.
A source told North Press that Turkish drones struck the Mount Abdulaziz area twice in the western countryside of Hasakah.
The strikes caused material damage, but no casualties have been reported so far, the source added.
Additionally, Turkey and its affiliated Syrian armed factions shelled the village of Tel al-Ward in Zargan town, north of Hasakah, with heavy weaponry.
The shelling led to further material damage to residents’ properties.
In recent days, Turkey and its affiliated factions have intensified their assaults on regions across northern and eastern Syria, with a particular focus on Hasakah countryside.
