IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish authorities forcibly deported on Sunday 625 Syrian refugees through multiple border crossings into northern Syria.

A source told North Press that 500 of the deported refugees were sent through the Bab al-Salama border crossing near the city of Azaz in northern Aleppo and the Bab al-Hawa border crossing in northern Idlib.

The remaining 125 refugees were deported through the Tel Abyad border crossing, located in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

Additionally, two individuals were injured by gunfire from the Turkish border guards as they tried to cross into Turkish territory near the village of Azmarin in western Idlib, said an official from the Police of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, once known as al-Nusra Front).

Another 21 individuals, including women and children, were detained at the border wall, the official added.
