Military projectile blast in Deir ez-Zor kills 2 children
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A military projectile exploded on Tuesday in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, and resulted in the killing of two children from one family.
A local source said that the two boys, aged just 11, belonged to the al-Ahmad al-Ta’mah family in the town of Diban, east of Deir ez-Zor.
The deadly incident occurred when they discovered an unexploded missile head in a nearby agricultural area while tending their sheep.
The explosion not only claimed the lives of the two children but also resulted in the death of several sheep.
