Syriac’s Mardutho festival kicks off in Syria’s Qamishli
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The fourth edition of the annual Mardutho festival for Syriac people was kicked off on Saturday in the city of Qamishli in Northeast Syria.
The Syriac Cultural Association in Syria organized the festival in collaboration with the Culture Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
Representatives of the AANES and Syriac organizations in Northeast Syria attended the festival.
It included performances of musical bands and folkloric dance troupes related to Syriac culture.
The festival concluded with the honoring of nine participating artistic groups by the committee.
