Iraqi forces kill, arrest 3 ISIS members in Samarra

IDLIB, Syria  (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Tuesday the killing of a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) and the arrest of two others in a security operation in Iraq’s Samarra. 

The Iraqi forces stated that a force from the Federal Police, supported by intelligence units and drones, managed to besiege a “terrorist group” consisting of three members in the al-Sa’ayouia area in Samarra.  

The security operation resulted in the killing of a member of the group and the arrest of two others, in addition to the seizure of four explosive belts and three tunnels used by the group.

On March 11, the Iraqi forces announced the arrest of two militants of ISIS in separate operations in Kirkuk province, northern Iraq.
