Iraqi forces arrest 2 ISIS militants in Kirkuk

DAMSCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Monday the arrest of two militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in separate operations in Kirkuk province, north Iraq.

Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement that the counter-terrorism forces have arrested one ISIS militant who works as a financial mediator for leaders of ISIS in Kirkuk.

Another militant was also arrested in another operation in Kirkuk, according to the source.

The statement also mentioned that the Iraqi forces managed to destroy 14 posts of ISIS and dismantle numerous locally made IEDs in Iraq’s Diyala and Kirkuk.
