Israel vows expanded offensive against Hezbollah, Defense Ministry
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, has expressed that the military intends to intensify its operations against Hezbollah and broaden its scope.
During an evaluation conducted at the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) northern command in Safed, Gallant stated, “Israel is turning from defending to pursuing Hezbollah, we will reach wherever the organization operates, in Beirut, Damascus and in more distant places.”
Gallant emphasized Israel’s determination to target Hezbollah wherever the group operates, extending beyond Beirut and Damascus to more distant locations. He cited recent developments, including the elimination of a prominent Hezbollah commander, Ali Naim, through an IDF drone strike in southern Lebanon.
He further noted that other five Hezbollah militants were among the 38 individuals who were killed in the Israeli airstrikes in Aleppo on March 29.
Gallant concluded by affirming Israel’s readiness to take action wherever necessary, underscoring the country’s proactive approach in addressing threats emanating from Hezbollah.
