DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Landmine blasts kill and injure about 20 people on Friday in Deir ez-Zor countryside, east Syria.
A source from the Syrian government forces in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that a landmine blasted in a car of Division 17 of the Syrian government forces on the vicinity of the villageo f al-Masrab in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, killing two soldiers of the Division 17 and injuring another, as well as, causing material damage to the car.
In addition, several landmines blasted in a group of the National Defense Forces (NDF) of the government forces while truffle hunting on the vicinity of the village of Sholah, southwest Deir ez-Zor, the source added.
The blast initially resulted in the killing of four militants of the NDF and the injury of 12 others, including civilians.
Another landmine blast killed Kaser al-Jaraf, 32, on the vicinity of the village of Sa’wa, north of Deir ez-Zor, according to a local source.
