DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli Army claimed, on Saturday, responsibility for attacking an ammunition warehouse of the Syrian government in southern Syria, as a response for launching rockets towards Golan.
Residents heard sounds of several explosions in a military post of the government forces in the eastern countryside of Daraa, south Syria.
Local sources reported that military posts affiliated with the Syrian government launched on Friday Katyusha rockets from Daraa towards Israel. The latter responded targeting the rockets source.
A military source told North Press that the attacks hit al-Kam ammunition warehouse, east of the town of Mahajjah, north of Daraa.
Al-Kam is the biggest ammunition warehouse in southern Syria, as it is the main warehouse for distributing ammunition in Daraa and Suwayda, south Syria.
Local media outlets circulated photos of the warehouse on fire and reported that the explosions’ sounds were heard in various areas in Daraa.
