DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Six members, including officials, of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Lebanese Hezbollah were killed on Monday in an Israeli air raid on the town of Sayyida Zainab, south of the Syrian capital, Damascus.
A source from the Syrian government forces told North Press that among the killed individuals were two Syrians.
In a statement on social media platform X, Iranian ambassador to Syria Hossein Akbari denied that any Iranian advisory center was targeted, and said that no Iranian was killed in the Israeli attack.
Citing a military source, Syrian state-run SANA news agency reported “the martyrdom and the injury of a number of civilians” in the attack.
It added that the attack was launched from the direction of the Golan Heights.
