Islamic Resistance claims attack on U.S. base in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for an attack with a barrage of rockets on the U.S.-led Global Coalition’s base in the Conoco gas field in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
On Sunday, a military source from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) inside the Conoco gas field stated that Iranian-backed militias targeted the U.S.-led Global Coalition base in the Conoco gas field with a rocket barrage.
The Islamic Resistance, in a statement published on its affiliated accounts, said that the militants of the group attacked the Conoco base in Syria with a rocket barrage.
The U.S.-led Global Coalition bases have been subject to almost daily attacks in Syria and Iraq by the Islamic Resistance since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.
The statement affirmed that they will continue to target U.S. and Coalition bases in Iraq and Syria in support of Gaza.
