SDC to announce “structural changes” on 4th conference in Syria’s Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) said on Saturday the Council will make “structural changes” on its fourth conference.
Riyad Dirar, co-chair of the SDC, said in a statement to North Press, the fourth conference “will be a new beginning. We aim to establish broader Syrian ties, and regionally more advanced and internationally more open relations.”
The fourth conference of the SDC is scheduled to be held on Dec. 20, in Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria, five years after its third conference was held.
The SDC was established on Dec. 9, 2015, in the city of Derik in far northeastern Syria. It is the political wing of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Dirar also pointed out that they strive to be “a Syrian democratic national alternative that can accomplish the hopes of the Syrian people.”
