QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Saturday arresting an Islamic State (ISIS) militant in Raqqa Governorate, north Syria, on Dec. 14.
The SDF Media Center said that the SDF-affiliated Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT), in cooperation with the US-led Global Coalition forces, “conducted a precise security operation in Raqqa.”
The SDF forces raided the house where “terrorist”, Abdulbasit al-Hajji, was hiding and apprehended him.
Al-Hajji was responsible for planning the terrorist attacks that targeted the SDF and civilians, according to the statement.
Smartphones and personal documents were confiscated during the operation, the source added.
