Asayish arrest government-affiliated individuals in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) arrested on Wednesday two individuals affiliated with the Syrian government forces in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
The Asayish Media Center reported that their Anti-Terrorism Forces, (known as HAT in Kurdish) carried out a successful and significant operation that resulted in the arrest of two individuals affiliated with groups of the Syrian government that carry out sabotage operations.
This operation was part of the ongoing efforts by the Asayish to apprehend those involved in spreading chaos, the Asayish said. During the operation, weapons and communication devices were seized from the arrested individuals.
Earlier this week, armed militants, reportedly affiliated with the government forces according to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), intensified their attacks against the SDF in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. As a result SDF fighters were injured and material damage was reported.
