SNA faction arrests 3 deported refugees in Syria’s Tel Abyad
AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – Militants of al-Jabha al-Shamiya faction (Levant Front), affiliated with the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), arrested on Monday three individuals from the Afrin region, northwest Syria.
A military source in the al-Jabha al-Shamiya faction told North Press that the faction had arrested three young men from the village of Kafr Safra in Afrin countryside, after they were deported by Turkish authorities to Tel Abyad, north Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.
The source added that the security leadership of the faction has given instructions to arrest anyone from Afrin or the city of Qamishli, northeast Syria, who is deported by the Turkish authorities to the area via the Tel Abyad border crossing.
The reasons behind these instructions remain unknown, however, the instructions have been given to all the SNA factions operating in the region, amid the increasing deportations by the Turkish authorities, especially against Kurdish young men.
