DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was killed on Sunday and another was injured in an armed attack on a military vehicle in Deir ez-Zor northern countryside, eastern Syria.

A military source of the SDF said an attack targeted with machine guns a military vehicle of the SDF near the entrance of the town of al-Suwar in the north of Deir ez-Zor.

The attack resulted in the killing of an SDF fighter and the injury of another who was taken to a field hospital in the town for treatment. The source said, “he is in a good condition.”

Patrols of the SDF surrounded the scene to pursue the attackers and investigate into the attack, he noted.
