Man shot dead in Manbij by suspected-Turkish sniper

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, a man was killed in north of Manbij city, northern Syria, after being shot by a sniper. The bullet came from the direction of a nearby Turkish base.

A local source told North Press, “A civilian from the village of al-Awshariya, north of Manbij, was killed by a sniper shot fired from the direction of the nearby Turkish base.”

“The 35-year-old Muhammad Mansour al-Ali was shot while working on his farmland, located on the contact lines between the Manbij Military Council [affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)] and the Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions,” the source added.

He said that the Turkish base is located north of the village.
