Gunman kills 5 people, injures 8 in bank building in Kentucky
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Five people were killed and eight others were injured on Monday in a shooting at a bank building in Louisville, Kentucky, a state in the southeastern region of the United States, police said.
Six people including a police officer were transported to hospital, while the suspect shooter died on the scene, Louisville Metro Police Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey said.
The shooting took place in a building on East Main Street that houses the Old National Bank in Louisville.
Police deployed at the scene of a mass shooting near Slugger Field baseball stadium in downtown Louisville.
The suspected was a “previous employee” and investigators are not yet clear on how he died
“The shooter appears to be a former employee of the bank,” Humphrey said.
