Dutch Court sues 12 women for involving with ISIS in Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A Dutch court held on February 14 and 15 the first pro forma hearings against 12 women on charges of their involvement in committing atrocities under the umbrella of Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria.
Forbes reported that the Dutch government brought back the women from a camp in northeast Syria in November 2022.
However, the women were arrested as suspected members of ISIS.
The Dutch Public Prosecution Service also announced that one of the women is suspected of slavery “as a crime against humanity,” since she used to enslave a Yazidi woman in Syria in 2015.
On Nov. 2, 2022, the government of Netherlands announced repatriating nationals of ISIS family members from camps in northeastern Syria.
