Couple injured in Idlib while trying to cross into Turkey
Idlib, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, a young man and a his wife were injured by Turkish border guards as they sought to cross into Turkey in north of Azmarin village in the western countryside of Idlib.
A local source said, “The pair were taken by farmers to a hospital in Harem while five civilians are still detained at a border point off Azmarin amid fears over their fate.”
“Targeting by the Turkish gendarmerie has been on the rise against civilians seeking to cross border into Turkey and detainees are beaten openly following the earthquake that hit the area on February 6,” the source added.
Earlier, Musa Mustafa Bagahnadi, 16, was fired upon by the Turkish border guards.
On November 27, 2022, Mijdar Osse, 10, was injured by Turkish bullets in the eastern part of the city of Kobani as he as playing along with her friends.
