700 Syrian bodies arrive in Syria from Turkey in 72 hours
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – In the past 72 hours, more than 700 bodies of Syrians, who died in Turkey in the earthquake on Feb. 6, had access to Syrian territory through the Bab al-Hawa border crossing.
Sources told North Press, “In the past 72 hours, the toll of the Syrian victims, whose bodies arrived through the Bab al-Hawa border crossing has reached 730.”
The sources added that Turkish authorities transform the bodies to the border to be handed over to their families by the border managment on the Syrian side. The toll of Syrian victims will increase in the days to come.
On Feb. 6, people in Syria and Turkey woke to the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake, killing hundreds and injuring thousands in addition to toppling a lot of residential buildings in both countries with some thousands are expected to be still trapped under the rubble.
