Turkish intelligence arrests 5 civilians in Syria’s Afrin
AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Turkish intelligence arrested five civilians from Afrin, northwest Syria, on charges of collaborating with the Autonomous Administration previously.
A local source told North Press that Turkish intelligence had arrested five civilians from Jindires district in the Afrin region.
The arrested are: Imad Sa’do, Shyar Sa’do, Rajab Shawakh, Muhammad Muhammad and Inayat Baker, according to the source.
The detainees were transported to an unknown location with no further information about their fate, the source added.
The city of Afrin in north Aleppo has been under the control of Turkish-backed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), since Turkey occupied the region in March 2018.
