US approves $165.3 million of FY 2023 NDAA to support SDF against ISIS

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The US House of Representatives approved on Thursday  $165.3 million of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the fiscal year of 2023 to support Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the fight against Islamic State Organization (ISIS).  

The White House passed the compromise Fiscal Year 2023 defense policy bill that authorizes $858 billion for national defense with a bipartisan 350 to 80 vote before sending it off to the Senate for final approval.

The bill would bring the US defense budget to a record as it seeks to boost its military competitiveness.

The bill approved $502.9 million fund in the campaign against the terrorist organization ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
