HTS launches 5 operations in NW Syria – Khmeimim

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense, announced on Saturday that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front), launched five military operations in de-escalation zone in Idlib and Hama Governorates, northwestern Syria.

Deputy Head of the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, Oleg Yegorov, said, in a press conference, “During the past 24 hours, five shelling operations were recorded from posts of the HTS in the de-escalation zone in Idlib.”

Four attacks were carried out in Idlib and one in Hama, he said, citing Russian media outlets.

On 5 November, the center revealed that the HTS and the Turkistan Islamic Party are preparing to attack Khmeimim Air Base in Latakia.

The terrorists have equipped a great number of drones with a range of action of up to 70 kilometers at workshops near the settlement of Khirbet al-Jouz, in Harem, north of Idlib Governorate, Yegorov added.
