Assad silently participates Arab Summit in Bahrain
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syria silently participated on Thursday the works of the 33rd Arab League Summit in Bahrain, with the attendance of Arab leaders.
Earlier, Syria’s state-run news agency SANA said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad “will not give a speech during the summit.”
It added that “Syria’s positions are clear regarding the issues on the event’s agenda, including Arabism, Palestinian issue, Arab-Israeli conflict and reform of the Arab League.”
The agenda included eight main topics that addressed issues related to Arab world in the political, economic, social, cultural, media, and security issues.
The summit discussed various political, economic, development, security, economic, social, and cultural issues included in the draft agenda prepared by Arab foreign ministers over the past two days.
